The owner of the Raddison Blu hotel in Ghaziabad dies by suicide: Police

New Delhi:

Officials say the owner of the Radisson Blu hotel in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad was found dead at his east Delhi mansion in the Commonwealth gaming village (CWG) on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Amit Jain, was found hanged in his apartment, they said, adding that no suicide note had been found from the body or nearby.

Police received information about the suicide via a PCR call to Mandawali police station.

A senior police officer said that during the investigation, it was revealed that Mr. Jain had come to his home in CWG village in the morning after having breakfast at his new home in Noida.

Mr. Jain plans to move to Noida with his family.

Along the way, he also dropped off his brother Karan at his office in Ghaziabad, she said, adding that he drove to CWG alone. Mr. Jain’s son, who went to CWG’s apartment to collect some belongings with his driver, found him hanged. She was immediately taken to Max Patparganj, where he was pronounced dead, she added.

Police said no charges of any foul play have been filed yet, adding that further investigation is underway and investigative procedures are underway.
