Overwatch 2’s first Double XP weekend is now live

Overwatch 2’s first suitable for double XP weekend event begins on October 21 at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET. This is the first of three dual XP weekends that Blizzard is hosting to make up for the rough launch of Overwatch 2.
Here is the full schedule of dual XP events. They all start at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET and end at the same time.
- October 21-24
- October 28-31
- November 24-28
Note that players will only get double XP from matches during this event, not from daily and weekly challenges.
With the new battle pass system in Overwatch 2, earning double XP means players can level up their battle pass faster. For new Overwatch 2 players who don’t have Kiriko yet, she can be obtained for free by reaching Level 55 in the battle pass or by purchasing the premium battle card outright.
Overwatch 2 will have its first seasonal event, Revenge of Junkenstein: Wrath of the Bride Inspired by Halloween. It will come with a brand new game mode and Halloween skins for Kiriko, Sojourn and Junker Queen. Beyond those details, Blizzard has yet to share everything planned for Wrath of the Bride.
In addition to double XP on weekends, Blizzard will also be giving all players who log in anytime after October 25 through the end of the first season a legendary Reaper skin and a Health Pack weapon buff.
