Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the intensity of the response to different attacks cannot vary depending on where it happened, adding that “all terrorist attacks deserve to be punished”. punish and act the same”. “We think even one attack is too much. Even one life lost is too many. So we will not rest until terrorism is eradicated.” he added.
Criticizing Pakistan, which along with Afghanistan does not participate in the international meeting, the Prime Minister said some countries support terrorists as part of their foreign policy.
“They provide political, ideological and financial support to them,” he said, adding that costs must apply to those countries.
The Prime Minister said that the long-term impact of terrorism is especially severe on the poor and the local economy.
“No one likes an area that is constantly threatened. And so people’s livelihoods are taken away. What is more important is that we attack the source of terrorist financing,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. .
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s office (PMO) said the conference will provide a single platform for participating countries and organizations to consider the effectiveness of the existing international mechanism on Anti-Finance. terrorism as well as the steps needed to address emerging challenges.
