From Issue #147, due out October 24, 2024, Oshi no Ko will be released every week until the end. The final volume of the series, Volume 16, will also be released on December 18, 2024. To commemorate this, there will be a campaign commemorating the end of the series. The campaign includes a special edition of Volume 16, which will come with a bookshelf, sticker and alternative cover. There will also be a permanent Ai fan keychain for sale, which will be identical to the one from the series itself. Finally, there will be a weekly countdown via the manga’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account. There may be more to come in this campaign so more details may emerge in the future.
Oshi no Ko is a very popular anime and manga series written by Aka Akasaka, who has a previous series Kaguya-sama: Love is war was also very popular. The story follows twins Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, who are essentially reincarnations of a doctor and his patient. They were reincarnated as the children of their favorite idol Ai Hoshino. After a crazed fan murdered Ai, they both entered the entertainment industry for their own reasons.
