Oppo A98 with 6.7-inch AMOLED display surface on TENAA, more specifications leaked

Oppo A98 is said to be available in the Chinese market as well as globally. Its specifications and design details are still being finalized. However, an Oppo phone with model number PHQ110 has now appeared on the TENAA database and is believed to be Oppo A98. It could feature a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. This listed handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core chipset, possibly a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC.

Oppo A98 specifications (expected)

The Oppo Model PHQ110 listed on the TENAA database there is a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD + resolution (1,080×2,412 pixels). This China-specific model is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. The screen can reported has curved edges and offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Its global model is said to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC.

The Oppo A98 is listed as having a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It is said to also have a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a centrally placed punch-hole on the front.

The phone is said to offer 6GB, 8GB or 12GB RAM. It is likely to come with 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. A dedicated microSD card slot (up to 1TB) is expected. Oppo A98 could be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which is said to support 67W fast charging.

It is said to measure 162.3×74.3×7.7mm and weigh around 171g. The Oppo A98 may also have a gravity sensor, a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor. The phone may also come with facial recognition technology for added security.

To recall, the company launched the Oppo A97 5G in China earlier this year. This smartphone features a 6.66-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
