OnePlus 10 Pro based on Android 13 OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 released to users in India, North America


The company announced that the OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone models in India and North America have begun receiving OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 (OBT1) based on Android 13. OnePlus also said that a beta will be released. for European countries in the near future. An update without all the features of OxygenOS 13 will be released in subsequent versions. OxygenOS 13 was announced alongside the OnePlus 10T launch event last week in New York City. The new version of OxygenOS features a new “Aquamorphic” design.

Follow a blog According to the OnePlus community page, OxygenOS 13 OBT1 is available this time in India and North America, and it will be available in Europe in the near future due to some slightly different features in the region. Those who want to enjoy the upcoming feature of the newly launched operating system will have to update OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone to the latest version of OxygenOS 12 (A.15). It should be noted that since this is a beta update, it is expected to introduce potential risks and unexpected behavior on handsets.

OnePlus documented some known issues that OnePlus 10 Pro users may encounter. These issues include no response when clicking Capture Log after switching Multi-Users/System Duplicators/Languages, blurry images when taking multiple photos with Ultra-dark mode, and zooming out together. At times, screen freezes when recording video in specific situations, camera crashes, among others.

According to the changelog, OnePlus 10 Pro will be upgraded as Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 with new behavior recognition, real-world physical movements in animations and optimized fonts with Recently released OxygenOS 13. When it comes to efficiency-related upgrades, the phone gets large folders on the Home screen, in which users can open an app and flip pages in the folder with a swipe. Get an optimized Quick Settings experience, more markup tools for editing screenshots, among others.

The list of actual changes for the OnePlus 10 Pro OxygenOS 13 beta 1 update is quite long. Other upgrades involve connectivity, personalization, security & privacy, digital health & wellbeing, performance optimization and gaming experience. If you want to install the open beta on your phone, you must upgrade to the latest stable version, ensure the battery level is above 30 percent, and have a minimum of 4GB of memory. OnePlus says that Carrier edition devices are not compatible with Open beta builds.

If you are using the Indian version of OnePlus 10 Pro, you can follow these steps to install and use the beta software.

  1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package available on the blog

  2. Copy the upgrade package to the phone memory

  3. Go Settings > About Device > Version > Click Build number 7 times and enter password, now you are in developer mode

  4. Return Settings > About device > Updates > Click on the top right button > Install locally > Click on the respective installation package > Extract > Upgrade

  5. After the upgrade is done, click Restart

OnePlus is also offering options and downgrade packages for those who want to roll back to the stable version of Android 12 after using beta 1.
