King of Fighters is known for having oppressive and cheap bosses that prey on players at the end of certain games’ arcade modes, and SNK is bringing back one of the most notorious boss characters in the series.
Starting April 14, Omega Rugal will be resurrected in The King of Fighters XV as free DLC available to any owner of the game. You can check out the trailer below which was launched as part of Roundtable of fighting game publishers in Japan took place late last night. Rugal is agile, ruthless and won’t hesitate to leave impregnable characters with a few pixels of life.
With the introduction of Omega Rugal came the introduction of Boss Challenge, a new mode that tested the player’s skills against the upgraded version of Rugal. In it, Omega Rugal wears a fancy new jacket with shoulder pads and armored gauntlets that can be used by any player strong enough to take down this classic threat.
You can try to “beat the nightmare” in King of Fighters XV on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC when the DLC releases in a few weeks. The full game itself, including the newly released Team Garou character pack, is available now.
