Odisha Minister Shot In The Chest By Cop Dies Hours Later At Hospital

Naba Kisore Das, Odisha Health Minister, who was seriously injured after being shot by police, died in hospital. The minister was shot by an assistant sub-inspector, who was arrested. The reason for the attack is unclear.

  7. Earlier today, Assistant Police Inspector (ASI) Gopal Das fired two shots at the minister.

  8. Police said Gopal Das was caught by locals and has been taken into custody.

  9. Witnesses confirmed that Naba Kisore Das was shot as soon as he got out of the car. The motive behind the attack is still unclear.

  10. Videos from the scene showed Mr Das bleeding from his chest while others struggled to lift the injured minister, who appeared to be unconscious, and put him in the front seat of a car.
