NYTHA hires Marie Kizenko as Communications Director
The New York Thoroughbred Riders Association today announced that Marie Kizenko has joined the team as communications director. A veteran of the racing industry, Kizenko served as senior editor for 14 years at Thoroughbred Daily News before working as a freelance writer and media consultant. She returned to racing full-time in 2019 and most recently was the equity coordinator for the Maryland Jockey Club.
“This is an exciting time for the racing industry in New York,” said Kizenko. “NYTHA’s core mission of benevolence, horse welfare, and protecting the interests of its members is very important to me. I have participated in many aspects of racing and am delighted to have had the opportunity. this association to ensure future growth.”
