Nouriel Roubini Attacks Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao And Says Kevin O’Leary Should Lose His Role At CNBC Because Of FTX Ties

It was prominent economist Nouriel Roubini, a longtime critic of cryptocurrencies, who attacked Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao at Abu Dhabi Financial Week shortly after the chief executive. Cryptocurrency called CZ leaves the stage.
Roubini said he cannot believe Binance has a license to operate in the United Arab Emirates, noting that the company is banned in the UK and is being investigated in the US for money laundering. Binance on Tuesday received a custody license and a fund management license in Abu Dhabi.
Roubini also criticized prominent investor Kevin O’Leary, calling him a “paid hack for FTX” who he hopes CNBC will remove. O’Leary, who is on the ABC show “Shark Tank” and also has a new show on CNBC called “Money Court,” is both an investor and a paid spokesperson for FTXThe crypto company filed for bankruptcy last week after a severe crash.
Before that, Zhao continued to make the case for more transparency in the industry.
