North Dakota State dominates Montana State to win ninth FCS title

North Dakota State once again became champion after defeating Montana State, 38-10, in the FCS Championship on Saturday.

NDSU Bison has now won nine national titles in the last 11 FCS seasons, coming in just the 2016 and 2020 seasons. A year ago, NDSU lost in the quarterfinals to Sam Houston State, marking the only time. In the last decade the team did not reach the semi-finals.

The most recent win was one of its most dominant championship games. Bison bulldozed through Montana State’s defenses with 380 yards of charge. Rerun Kobe Johnson led the NDSU with 106 yards, despite carrying the ball only four times on Saturday.
