Noida Techie Creates Fake Twitter Account Of President Droupadi Murmu’s Daughter, Arrested

Officials say a 42-year-old software engineer was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on Thursday for creating a Twitter account in the name of President Droupadi Murmu’s daughter.
They said the defendant, who works with a leading multinational company, created a fake social media account to influence a neighbor with whom he had a personal conflict.
A police spokeswoman said accused Shailendra Shukla, who lives in the Chi Fi area of Greater Noida, was arrested by Beta 2 police station officials from the local market.
“The defendant is a cybercriminal who is harassing people using a fake Twitter account in the name of Itishree Murmu, the daughter of President Murmu. He used this fake account to influence a neighbor with whom he has a personal conflict,” said Beta 2 police station in charge of Anil Kumar.
He said three mobile phones, including the one used to run the fake social media account, were confiscated during the arrest.
Shukla has been charged under sections 504 of the Indian Penal Code (intentionally insulting to incite a violation of public peace) and 507 (intimidating a crime by anonymous communication), the official said. know.
He has also been charged under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, the official added.
