NJ hospital staff arrested after 39 guns, bullets found inside the closet
A New Jersey hospital worker was arrested after police said they discovered multiple firearms – including an assault rifle – and ammunition at the hospital while responding to a death threat. bomb.

Authorities said Reuven Alonalayoff, 46, was arrested Sunday at Newark Liberty International Airport with the assistance of the US Department of Homeland Security. Alonalayoff, who police said was the hospital’s marketing director, was charged with possession of an assault gun and two counts of possession of a high-capacity magazine.

Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said he was grateful that the situation “was resolved with no harm done.”
“Insecurely storing a large cache of weapons, especially in this location, inevitably poses a risk to public safety,” Miller said.
Authorities did not disclose how Alonalayoff obtained the weapons or how he got them into the closet.
Hudson Area Hospital did not immediately respond to questions from USA TODAY about Alonalayoff’s employment status.
