Nissan India is conducting feasibility studies on the X-Trail, Qashqai and Juke. The X-Trail will be the first SUV to be launched in India.
Nissan Motor India reported 22% year-on-year cumulative wholesale growth. They registered 3,061 units, sold domestically and exported 6,950 units. Last month, the manufacturer reported a domestic wholesale figure of 3,177 units and an export wholesale figure of 4,088 units. Nissan also announced that it will expand its portfolio with premium products.
Recently, the manufacturer has introduced three new SUV models. There are X-Trail, Qashqai and Juke. Nissan has begun running feasibility tests around its manufacturing facility in Chennai on these SUVs. The first SUV model to launch in the Indian market will be the X-Trail. This will be done when the feasibility tests are successful.

This is not the first time the X-Trail has been launched in the Indian market. The first and second generations of the SUV were also sold in India but the third generation was never launched in the country. The Nissan X-Trail is offered in either 5-seater or 7-seater. At the moment, it is unknown which generation will come to India.
The Nissan X-Trail is based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-C platform. In the global market, Nissan sells the X-Trail with either a 2.5-liter petrol engine or a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine also equipped with mild hybrid technology. In India, Nissan is expected to launch the X-Trail with a turbo hybrid mild-hybrid engine.
First launched in December 2020, Nissan Magnite has attracted more than 1 thousand pre-orders. It is one of the most successful products from the manufacturer. Nissan Magnite competes with Kia SonetHyundai LocationMaruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
Magnite prices start at 5.97 lakh (old gallery) and increase 10.79 lakh (old gallery). Nissan also introduced “Red Edition” of Magnite priced at 7.86 lakh (old gallery).
