Nike of the United States partners with Jacquemus for Runway to Sport

US sportswear brand Nike has partnered with Simon Porte Jacquemus to energize contemporary athletes’ celebration of multidimensionality. Jacquemus, his eponymous brand, is Nike’s latest women-focused collaborative partner. Nike x Jacquemus launches exclusively on June 28 on the official Jacquemus channel and across Nike retail stores globally starting summer 2022.

“For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimalist way. I’ve always drawn inspiration from classic ACG products and Nike campaigns from the ’90s. With this image, we designed women’s sportswear with sexy details and neutral colors. personality, along with my own understanding of the Humara, my favorite Nike shoe. It was important that the collection be accessible to every body and be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance,” says Simon Porte Jacquemus, creative director of Jacquemus.

Backed by Nike’s rich heritage, Jacquemus envisions a world where outdoor pursuits and turf sports emerge in a new, integrated aesthetic. Nike said in a press release that the upcoming clothing and footwear collections will begin releasing later in the summer, interweaving many of Nike’s signature designs with unisex footwear and accessories as a way of to integrate sports-centric style into everyday life.
