Nier: Automata players discover a secret room that leaves a scrambled data checker
Nier: Automata is mine All time favorite game, known and criticized for its unique story design and eccentric characters. Years after witnessing the JRPG’s many-ending action and winning the platinum trophy, I never expected to miss out on the many well-kept mysteries. However, an Automata player recently discovered a secret room that left hardcore data researchers confused and excited.
Someone randomly posted a video on the Nier Automata subreddit showing they found a secret room in the Clone City. So far no one else has figured out how they managed to make this secret door appear. Literally 1 person on earth accessed this room and we were completely blown away pic.twitter.com/g7W4JxiNDg

Random uploaded to Reddit by user sadfutago (thanks, Eurogamer!), the video in the tweet above shows them sprinting through the cloned City droids and interacting with a discreet part of the back wall. After sliding down a ladder and soaring through distorted corridors, sadfutago entered a “holy” site. I’ll show you what it is for yourself. There are unimportant things along the way, and there is nothing to do but look around. However, the community is still shocked when something natural remains hidden for so long.
Renowned data researcher Lance McDonald – you may remember them as players who excavated Automata’s Best Kept Secret – spoke for people when they said, “So far, no one else has found a way [sadfutago] managed to make this secret door appear. Literally 1 person on earth had access to this room and we were completely blown away. “McDonald also said it was impossible to modify the game in this way, refuting the claims of opponents.
Is this an area for the Platinum Game or is it a trick designed and implemented by the player? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
