Nicole L. Linton on $9 million bail for Windsor Hill crash


Nicole L. LintonThe woman responsible for the fatal crash in Windsor Hills has been released from the hospital and is in police custody, according to Fox News. This nurse is on $9 million bail at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California. The bail was initially set at $2 million.

As we previously reported, Nicole was arrested Friday on suspicion of manslaughter by negligence following a high-speed collision that occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Boulevard Avenue. Slauson and La Brea. During the collision, Nicole’s Mercedez-Benz ran a red light at a fairly fast speed.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said, “Due to extensive fire damage, it is not known at this time the make and model of the vehicles involved and the type of vehicle the parties involved are at this time. walking.” Reports say other victims have been identified. Craig Pitchford, 66, possibly a pedestrian, has been identified by the coroner’s office. The CHP reported that a sixth victim was later found dead in the wreckage of a burned vehicle, but their identities have not been released.

Eight other people were injured in the collision, including seven in a Chevrolet Traverse. The 33-year-old driver, a one-year-old boy and three teenagers suffered moderate injuries. However, two other teenagers inside the car suffered minor injuries. In addition, the 8th victim, 19 years old, who was driving an Audi A3, also suffered minor injuries.

Many people discussed the tragic accident, including Kaiser Permanente, Nicole’s employer. According to her LinkedIn profile, she said she was a traveling nurse employed by a healthcare staff agency and had worked in the intensive care unit at Kaiser Permanente West Medical Center Los Angeles.

The organization released a statement Friday, saying, “Everyone at Kaiser Permanente is deeply saddened by Thursday’s horrific accident. It is impossible to imagine the pain those involved are going through. past. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. At this time, we are unable to comment on what has been reported as a criminal investigation.”
