Nicolas Cage doesn’t want to be called an ‘actor’

“For me, that always meant, ‘Oh, he’s a great actor, so he’s a great liar,'” Cage said.
“Thespian” is more suitable for him, he said, “because Thespian means you are entering your heart, or you are entering your imagination, your memory or your dreams, and you’re bringing something back to communicate with the audience.”
He is currently starring in the movie “Pig” and calls the film’s director Michael Sarnoski “Archangel Michael.”
“After a few failed attempts, I knew I was marginalized in the studio system; and I wouldn’t be invited by them,” Cage said. “I always knew it would take a young filmmaker to come back or remember some of the movies I’d made and knew I could fit his script and rediscover me. And that’s why. he’s not just Michael, he’s Archangel Michael.”
