Nicki Minaj and Latto Had a good time last night online! Both rappers put an @ on their insults and go talk about your family personal with it. There have been criticisms about age, appearance, connection to crime, spoof activity, etc.
By Friday, phrases like “Monster Granny” and “Karen” and “Scratch-off” were trending on Twitter.
Nicki uses Latto’s song for emphasis; Latto’s reaction
Nicki spark a trending conversation about the Recording Academy and how they’re filing for Thursday’s award nominations (October 14). She expressed dissatisfaction with the classification Super weird girl from rap to pop in Instagram Live. Nicki used Drake as an example of an artist share the same review in 2017 when Hotline Bling won a Grammy in the rap category despite being a pop song.
She then began comparing the sound, production, and distribution of lyrics in other songs listed in the rap and pop categories, including by Latto. Big energy.
“If Super weird girl is pop, then too Great energy,” Nicki said on Instagram Live. “If you move Super weird girl out of rap and put it in pop, do the same thing with Big energy. By the way, same producer on both songs. ” She added, “let’s keep it fair. Even when I rap on a pop track, I still rap.”
Not long after the live stream, Latto appeared to have responded with a tweet. She writes, “Damn, I can’t win if I lose… all these awards/messages I can’t even celebrate.”
Nicki reveals a private text from Latto, calling her Karen
Following Latto’s cryptic response, Nicki shared a tweet revealing a text message purportedly from artist Clay Co. Nicki points out that Latto is a supposed fan but refuses to support her views on categorization Super weird girl.
“This Karen has probably mentioned my name in over 100 interviews. Say she’s been waiting Pink Friday w/ she wears Barbie necklaces, bangs, pink hair… but today, scratch decided to stay silent; than speaking up for the Black woman she calls her biggest inspiration,” tweeted Nicki.

Then Big Latto wastes no time putting an @ on it. She responded directly to Nicki’s Karen/Scratch-off tweet, claiming that having access to the internet was exactly what she didn’t want – either this time or earlier this year.
“…I wanted to speak up because I said I agree but the way you talk about it sounds malicious. after we left,” Latto tweeted.
In a separate tweet, Latto added, “I’ve been skipping countless extra pages since March and addressing u in the DM instead. You’re asking why I don’t speak up for you… that’s the same answer I answered when you asked why I didn’t congratulate you. You are actually older than my mother tryna is a bully @NICKIMINAJ. ”
And the back and forth continued as Nicki responded to Latto’s tweet about being a bully. She debunked the insult of age and wrote to Lotto that “all this time [Nicki] thought [Latto] at least 35.”
Nicki Denies Subtweeting Receipts; Complaint Dispute related to a rejected feature
At this point, the growl began to pull the alleged receipts on top of each other. Latto claims that Nicki targeted her in shady posts online, including one about unfollowing a “idiot”.
But Nicki denied that claim, instead saying that the stupid tweet was about a TikTok creator. The creator, who is also a Barb, later backed up Nicki’s story and revealed himself as the one who unfollowed.
Afterward, Pink Friday The artist said Latto’s behavior and accusations stemmed from Nicki’s denial of three features, including Great energy.
“Age shame when you look like YOU’re someone entering your 40s. Age shame but START for a feature. Imagine what gen dem will do in 10 years,” Nicki tweeted. “Oh, so you’re in your 20s. Oh okay. At least it matches your album sales. You sold 20K right? You’re crazy. That’s why you’re so mad. “
Latto followed Nicki’s denial with multiple allegations of receiving subpages against her. In addition, she insisted Nicki did not deny her deduction when they spoke on the phone. Nicki continued by dropping her receipt – Lotto requested a feature in multiple messages.
Each time, Nicki refused. In one message, she tells Latto that the two will know “when it makes sense” to work together – presumably after one of Latto’s tracks is “Have made a cultural impact.”
And the words and sharing of receipts ended there. Lotto turned, called Nicki “Meticulous with her shade” while agreeing to a tweet about Nicki surreptitiously rating her on Queen Radio. She also shared a DM with Minaj indicating she had started a conversation on September 4 about the alleged sub-site.
“Wassup? I show nothing but the utmost respect & sincere love as a FAN & someone who always respects you,” Latto said in the first message. “Hate that u let ppl convince u otherwise. You know what I mean. “
Lotto calls Nicki a freak grandmother with a rapist relative; Released secret recording of conversation with Minaj
Rejection is a common theme among women in their war of words. The Atlanta-born rapper reiterated her views on why she chose to stay silent regarding Nicki’s Grammys explosion. She claims that the rap superstar told her on the phone that she “No development and no one cares [Latto’s] little song.”
However, at the end of the heated exchange, Latto apologizes for shuffling Nicki’s words and revealing a secret recording of their phone conversation.

But in the face of an online feud over Latto’s recording, each woman threw out more insults. Latto went on to claim Minaj got rid of her and got Nicki’s brother Jelani Maraj and husband Kenneth Petty involved. Although she did not name Jelani or Kenneth, they were involved in sexual assault cases involving underage girls.
In 2020, Jelani was sentenced to 25 years in prison for life for raped 11 year old girl many times in his home in 2015. In July, Kenneth was sentenced to three years’ probation and 12 months of electronic surveillance for not registered as a sex offender in California. The registration was part of a conviction Kenneth attempted to rape a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
“BE subbing… super freaky grandma is married AND involved with f**king rapists,” Latto tweeted. “I’m not bullying you B *** H! My idol became my rival now you hate! “
Minaj accuses Latto of being a supporter of fake rape
Latto went down with her clapping which didn’t stop Minaj from venting her own pain. The Barbz leader accused Lotto of being uninterested in her relationship with rapists as she was looking for a feature and making other career moves, including casting producer Dr. Luke Because Big energy.
“…4. Early flash news off. I have never raped anyone,” wrote Nicki. I have inspired millions. You are one of them BOZO.”
Nicki also accused people online of letting others “Weaponized the WORD rape when they were drawn in.” The rapper also said people don’t blame others for not caring about rape victims “in real life.”
“… They have two similar stories about me and one of them doesn’t seem like me. That’s how you know when you’re there,” Nicki wrote.
Nicki also tries to run insults regarding rapists at Latto’s direction. She retweeted a fan account claiming that Latto’s father was in his late 30s when he fed Latto’s mother.
However, according to multiple sources, the name of the man in the tweet is not the same as Latto’s father. Latto did not respond to this particular request, even though Nicki appealed to her “Explain this sh*t.”
Nicki has since deleted the majority of her tweets about and in response to Latto. At the time of publication, on Friday night, the women had not traded any further insults.
