Nick Cannon understands narcissistic personality disorder
Nick explains that he will still be in groups with all of that, but he has started going through tests. “I still don’t fully understand it, but I’ve always wanted to check it out. I took a lot of tests,” Cannon said.
Additionally, the ‘Masked Singer’ host noted that he has accepted his diagnosis and used it to better himself.
“I feel like there are so many labels out there, but like being able to embrace it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing. I need help. Let me see.” I just embraced mental health and therapy in a big way,” he said. “I can say that I am an example to others, but also healing in the process of dealing with myself,” Nick continued.
Nick Cannon opened up about his narcissistic personality disorder for the first time on the November 8 episode of the ‘Counseling Culture’ podcast with Dr. Cheyenne Bryant.
“I have taken away all the power of the term narcissism because I have studied it and I understand it. Call me whatever you want… now if I don’t know what it is I’m going to have a problem with it,” Cannon said in the episode.
