Nick Cannon is getting really candid as he contemplates his marriage with Mariah Carey and why it doesn’t last.

Nick Cannon opens up about why his marriage to Mariah Carey didn’t work out
On Thursday, October 24, one The clip is nearly five minutes long was shared via Ray Daniel’s YouTube channel. In the clip, Daniels appears to be interviewing Cannon, who talks about his previous marriage to Carey and its demise.
Cannon seemingly explained that he felt “pressure” and questioned himself by asking, “Who am I?” during their alliance. The host explained that he got married in his 20s to “the biggest star in the world.”
“And my trajectory here and then hers — she was in a different stratosphere,” Cannon explains. “So I stayed up all night thinking, ‘Is this me? I have [just] Mariah’s man? Is that my life?’”
Furthermore, Cannon explains that there is “nothing wrong with that.” Additionally, he said he was “really comfortable” with the lavish treatment he received when he became Carey’s husband and that they never had “issues.” However, after they had children, he felt his masculinity could not develop within their relationship dynamic.
“I was carrying the purse, the diaper bag — she was rocking — she was a total alpha girl,” Cannon recalls. “And I believe she needs a guy like that; I’m not that guy!

Carey has yet to publicly react to her ex-husband’s candid thoughts on their marriage and its end. In fact, on Monday, October 28, she took to Instagram to share a skit alongside Kerry Washington, letting the public know that her current focus is the upcoming election.
