Nick Cannon shares the latest on Mariah Carey
On Wednesday, September 18, Page six has published an exclusive interview with Cannon. The newspaper reported meeting the 43-year-old on the red carpet at Fox Fall Press Day.
Additionally, Cannon explained that Carey is “doing the best she can, given the circumstances.”
“But as a family, we just need to be there to support each other, show love,” the comedian added.
The 43-year-old explained that his ex-wife was “really having a great time” with their 13-year-old twins, son Morrocan and daughter Monroe.
“You know, that’s the most important thing in the world to her, so it’s great to see them supporting their mom the way they do,” Cannon added.
On September 14, Carey arrived Xformerly known as Twitter, to give fans a glimpse of the time she’s spent with her kids lately.
“At the Great Wall of China! Someone should have warned me about heels (even though I didn’t listen),” Carey wrote, sharing three photos from their visit to the famous landmark.

“I was devastated to lose my mother over the weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day,” Carey explained at the time.
The singer did not reveal the events that led to the tragic end of both her mother and sister. However, she explained that she felt “lucky” to have been able to spend time with her mother before her death. As previously reported, Carey noted her complicated relationship with her mother and sister in her memoir, ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey.’

According to Page sixAs the conversation continued, Cannon also opened up about parenting a teenager with Carey, which the 43-year-old reportedly called “the scariest thing in the world.”
“My daughter, she’s putting on makeup right now,” he explained, speaking of Monroe. “Luckily she doesn’t have a lot of makeup on, but it scares me. Like, we’re getting ready to go — we’re in Malibu about to go to dinner, and I’m like, ‘What’s taking her so long?’”
According to Cannon, when he entered the 13-year-old girl’s room, he found a lot of makeup and hair care products.
“I was like, ‘Wow, you look just like your mom,’” he explained. “It was beautiful to see, but also terrifying.”
