Miami, USA – NFL record-breaking quarterback Tom Brady announced on Wednesday that he will be “retiring permanently” at the age of 45, a year after reversing his decision to quit the sport.

Brady, whom the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost in the NFL’s knockout round last month, called in time on his 23-year career in a social media video.

“Good morning, I’ll get straight to the point: I’m retiring forever,” Brady said as he sat by a beach.

Considered by many to be the greatest quarterback of all time, Brady won a record seven Super Bowl games, six of them with the New England Patriots before scoring a final victory with Tampa at the end of the 2020 season.

The midfielder announced that he would retire on February 1, 2022, but 40 days later he changed his mind and said he would return for another season with the Bucs.

“I know the process last time was a pretty big deal, so when I woke up this morning, I thought I’d just hit record and let you guys know first. So I won’t be verbose,” he added.

“I think you just get a super emotional retirement essay, and I used up mine last year. So really, thank you, so much, to each and every one of you, for supporting me.

“My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there are so many. Thank you for letting me live my absolute dream. I won’t change a thing. Love you all,” he said.

Brady is set to join free agency and rumors have begun to surface with several teams linked to the veteran having thrown 4,694 yards and 25 touchdowns during the 2022 season.

The Californian tennis player left the game when he owned many records in the NFL.

He’s the league’s all-time regular-season leader in passes (12,050), finishes (7,753), passes (89,214) and touches (649). He also owns all those records after the season.

Brady has won 251 regular-season games and 35 knockouts, more than any player in league history.

Under New England coach Bill Belichick, Brady became an expert at aligning back-to-back wins with his signature winning shots.

Undaunted by pressure, he has the most wins (58) and fourth-quarter comeback wins (46) of any NFL quarterback.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who will face the Philadelphia Eagles in this year’s Super Bowl, responded to Brady’s announcement by posting an emoji of a goat – expressing his opinion. that Brady is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT).

JJ Watt, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who recently announced his retirement, echoed this sentiment.

“Greatest of all time. No question, no argument,” Watt tweeted.

“It is an honor and privilege.

“P.S. – The newly retired group meets on the golf course at 10 a.m. daily. Drinks are inviting the new guy, so bring your wallet.

Brady’s popularity has surpassed that of the NFL – in November, he and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen announced they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage.

The divorce comes after months of tabloid speculation regarding the couple’s marriage, which is said to have grown tense when Brady reversed his decision to retire.

Bundchen responded to Brady’s announcement on Instagram by writing: “Wish you only great things in this new chapter of your life.”

Great athletes outside of football are also in the spotlight, with tennis legend Serena Williams noting on Instagram “I am in tears watching this. It’s sad when you’re gone. Welcome to the world of retirement… Once again.”

Brady is expected to move into a broadcast career after having agreed to a ten-year deal with the Fox television network, reportedly worth $375 million, to work as a commentator after his football career. His kick is over.

In a July interview with Variety magazine, he said he was looking forward to taking on the new role.

“I have a very unique view of football and how it should be played, and what good plays and bad plays look like,” he said.

“I feel like I can still have a big impact on the game. I can stay in the game, do what I love to do, talk about this great sport.”
