Surprise: Khalil Herbert, RB, Bears

The last run of Week 3, Herbert replaced the injured David Montgomery and ran 157 yards and two points. He would be a great start if Montgomery is forced to miss extra time.

Surprise: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars

After a disappointing rookie season, Lawrence continued to impress in his second year. He tore through the Chargers’ defense with a 262 yard and 3-point pass and has been an original quality fantasy pick so far.

Surprise: DeVante Parker, WR, Patriots

The New England Open guy seems to be different every week. It was Parker’s day in Week 3, when the old Dolphin finished with five catches of 156 yards.

Surprise: James Robinson, RB, Jaguars

Jags’ backyard hype hit Travis Etienne during the draft season, but Robinson is the obvious one. He made 17 100-yard runs and scored against the Chargers on Sunday and is now second this year in terms of PPR scores.

Surprise: Tre’Quan Smith, WR, Saints

With multiple Saints injured on Sunday, Smith was there to deal with the problem. He had four catches for 105 yards and could be waiting on the wing if Michael Thomas or Jarvis Landry were forced to miss time.

Disappointed: Justin Fields, QB, Bears

The Bears appear to be carrying out an attack from the 1960s, but Fields’ terrible performance is a big reason. He completed just 8 of 17 106-meter passes and two interceptions against the Texans. At this point, Fields can be revoked in most tournaments.

Disappointed: Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings

Jefferson tore through the Packers’ defense in Week 1, but he’s been quiet since. The Open superstar ended Week 3 with just three 14-meter catches in a win over the Lions.

Disappointed: DJ Moore, WR, Panthers

Imaginary managers have reason to fear the negative impact of Baker Mayfield on Moore. He is yet to play, including just one catch for two yards on Sunday after Mayfield completed just 12 passes against the Saints.

Disappointed: Raheem Mostert, RB, Dolphins

Mostert had a great performance in Week 2, but he couldn’t repeat the game against the Bills. The backrunner made the Chase Edmonds 8-6, but only 11 yards above the ground.

Disappointed: Carson Wentz, QB, Commander

Washington was confused by the Eagles, and Wentz’s play was a big reason. He completed 25 of 43 211-yard passes and had no touchdown. That’s a pretty big drop after mass production in the first two weeks.

Abandon Extra: Tyler Conklin, TE, Jets

The Jets’ foul couldn’t be much more active in Week 3 against the Bengals, but Conklin had one of the best games of his career with eight catches for 84 yards. Zach Wilson’s pending return could change his outlook, but Conklin is a solid addition after 14 receptions in his last two games.

Waiver Add: Mack Hollins, WR, Raiders

A good game for Hollins in Week 2 might seem like a stroke of luck, but his performance can’t be ignored for now. Receiving a slack with Hunter Renfroe sidelined, Hollins had eight catches in 158 yards and one encounter with the Titans. Who would have thought that he would lead all the Raiders receivers within three weeks?

Extra Waiver: Zay Jones, WR, Jaguars

Jones didn’t get much attention during the off-season, but he was productive in the resurgent Jaguars offense. He had 10 catches at 85 yards and scored in Week 3, and now has more than 60 yards in two-thirds of the game.

Extra Waiver: Josh Reynolds, WR, Lions

Amon-Ra. He led the Lions with six 96-yard catches in Week 3 after scoring a goal in Week 2.

Williams is the needed addition as he remains available with the Lions starting back D’Andre Swift is expected to miss time. He took the reins when Swift was sore on Sunday, finishing with 20 catches for 87 yards and two hits to the ground.
