Two days after a memo announced that the 2022 NFL Mixture would be held in a strict bubble, the NFL changed its protocols on Monday. amid backlash from player agents and the NFL Players Association.
On Saturday, prospects have been told they will be “restricted to safe Combine sites” and only be allowed to bring one fully vaccinated person for medical assistance. The federation stepped back in a message to potential clients on Monday.
“We encourage all players to stay in the Safe Match areas at all times for your safety,” the announcement read, via NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. “However, if you wish to leave the safe zones during the free time in your schedule, you are now allowed to do so at your own risk.”
The reversal came after reports indicated that agents representing about 150 prospective drafters were considering boycotting the event due to protocols.
