Next Call of Duty Coming With Refurbished ‘Warzone’


Expect a big change to Battlefield parallel to the next Call of Duty game. Activision has shared Early details on Call of Duty releases for 2022 and it promises a “major evolution” of Battlefield designed in sync with the core CoD header. Both will have new game engines and Battlefield will include “all-new play space” and sounds familiar sandbox mode. The main game, meanwhile, is a sequel to 2019 Modern War restart.

Infinity Ward is leading the development of both the new Call of Duty and Battlefield. It’s not surprising that the studio handles both Modern War revival and present Battlefield. It’s unclear which tier series veterans Raven, Sledgehammer or Treyarch will be joining, but they certainly won’t be starring. Sledgehammer responsible for 2021 Call of Duty: Vanguardwhile Raven and Treyarch worked on Black Ops’ Cold War.

The trailer might be welcome if you’re looking forward to seeing a franchise refresh. Even so, it is coming at a time that couldn’t be more ideal for Activision. Raven staff has been promote unityand Microsoft’s purchase of Activision raised the brief question of the future of Call of Duty on PlayStation. That is not including the effects of ongoing misconduct scandal at the publisher. Like it or not, the company’s turmoil can overshadow the Call of Duty team’s efforts at times like these.
