Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul appeared beaming to the media after their wedding in Khandala today. The newlyweds posed for pictures outside the venue – the Shetty family home in Khandala – on Monday night. Both the bride and groom opted for lighter tones – Athiya looked lovely in a pale pink lehenga dress with embroidery and diamonds, KL Rahul in white with an emerald necklace. The wedding was held privately and attended only by the closest family members and friends of the bride and groom.

Athiya and Rahul also share photos from the wedding ceremony in appropriate posts on social media. The caption of the wedding post reads: “Today, with our dearest ones, we got married in the house that has brought us immense joy and serenity. With With hearts filled with gratitude and love, we ask you to bless this journey together.”

In the wedding guest list there are Krishna Shroff, Diana Penty, Anshula Kapoor and Anushka Ranjan with her husband Aditya Seal. Cricket players Varun Aaron and Ishant Sharma, along with his wife Pratima Singh, were also invited. Pre-wedding ceremonies included a sangeet at Shetty’s house in Mumbai, which was lit up for the occasion.
After the wedding ceremony, the bride’s father Suniel Shetty distributed sweets to the media outside the wedding venue with the help of his son Ahan. He confirmed that phera finished, said, “I’m a father-in-law now.” The actor said the reception will probably be held after the IPL.
