Newbury, Watership Down Offer Donkey naming contest
In partnership with Watership Down Stud, sponsor of G3 Watership Down Too Darn Hot Greenham S. next Saturday, Newbury has launched a contest to name one of the stud’s most recent arrivals, an outcast. Enemy was born on March 10th. Frankel (GB), was outside the winning group, So Mi Dar.
Group 3 winner So Mi Dar also finished third in the G1 Prix de l’Opera. She is not part of the MG1SW Dar Re Mi (GB) organization campaigned by Watership Down, who have produced four performers in the group, including the 2-year-old and 3-year-old European Champion, Too Darn Hot (GB) (Dubawi {Ire }). He stands at Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud and has his first contemplation in 2022.
Watership Down Stud owners Andrew and Madeleine Lloyd Webber will decide the winning entry, which will be announced on Monday, May 2.
The winning prize for the chosen name will include:
- Trip for up to six individuals or families to Watership Down Stud for a private tour and pony encounter
- Premier badges and day boards for six in the Lawn of the Parade on Saturday, September 17, including a picnic box.
You will also have the opportunity to enter the competition in Newbury from April 16-17, as well as at the Newbury Racecourse exhibit booth at Lamborn Open Day on April 15.
