‘New Tales from the Borderlands’ will premiere on October 21
Gearbox Software announced a few months ago it’s a new one Stories from Borderlands the game is coming out this year, and its title is exactly: New stories from Borderlands. CEO Randy Pitchford appeared at Gamescom’s opening night live showcase to reveal more details about the game.
Pitchford says he’s a big fan of original game, a narrative-driven point-and-click title set in the Borderlands universe developed by Telltale Games. Pitchford says Gearbox has attracted a number of writers who worked on the first game for New stories from Borderlands
The latest title features three new main characters (Anu, Octavio and Fran) and a new storyline. As you might expect from a Borderlands game, the trailer suggests it will feature offbeat humor and lots of guns. Looks like there will also be a mini-game or two. While New stories from Borderlands still retains the series’ signature art style, it looks like the visuals have been upgraded after Gearbox Switch to Unreal Engine.
Gearbox is working New stories from Borderlands indoors at its Quebec studio. It will release the game on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store on October 21.
