New Renault E-Tech designed trim levels come to Clio, Captur and Arkana


Renault overhauled Arkana model range and introduces a new variation of Captur and Clio for 2022. The E-Tech Design Edition receives new on-board equipment and exterior tweaks.

The entry-level ‘Iconic’ Arkana replacement is the ‘Evolution’, which starts at £26,695. The exterior features 17-inch ‘Bahamas’ alloy wheels, LED headlights, gray skid plates and tinted windows. There’s a seven-inch driver display and seven-inch touchscreen inside along with automatic wipers and automatic air conditioning. Safety systems such as active emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning and lane keep assist are all standard.

Elevating the range, the mid-tier ”S Edition” is now ‘Techno’, from £28,695. As standard, it has a wireless smartphone charger, a 10-inch driver display, and a 9.3-inch touchscreen with sat-nav. To differentiate it on the outside, there are diamond-cut 18-inch wheels and darker tinted windows.

The RS line is retained from the original lineup and is currently priced at £31,095. Features a unique design that includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a new front bumper and grille, chrome exhaust tips and RS Line badges. The interior gets new leather seats with suede upholstery and red stitching, a carbon-style dashboard, aluminum pedals, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and hands-free parking.

The newly designed E-Tech is the top model, priced at £32,695. It features 18-inch alloy wheels with gold accents, an E-Tech-designed front bumper – again with gold details and new skids at the front and rear. The interior receives a number of custom tweaks as well as a newly designed steering wheel along with black and gold leather seats.

E-Tech Design has also come to the Clio supermini and Captur crossover. There are new diamond-cut alloy wheels (18 inches on the Captur and 17 inches on the Clio), black Renault logos at the front and rear, gold details on the bumpers, rear spoiler and side trim as well as front seats. exclusively for E-Tech engineering. The designed Clio E-Tech starts from £23,795 and the Captur costs £28,395.

The Evolution and Techno are available with a 138hp 1.3-liter mild-hybrid petrol and a 140hp 1.6-liter hybrid with an electric motor. The RS Line is only available with the smaller 1.3-liter unit, where the E-Tech is designed to come with a 1.6-liter powertrain.
