New MG Hector exterior, interior, features and powertrain details



In addition to the refreshed exterior, the facelifted MG Hector will also receive a revised dashboard and ADAS technology.

Before launching in India, MG Hector facelift has been spotted undisguised revealing the front design of the SUV. This is the second upgrade for the SUV as MG previously updated the Hector in 2021. MG Hector facelift: what does the image reveal?

The facelift MG Hector has a completely revised front end with a large diamond mesh grille with chrome rims running along the sides. It also has a more aggressive front bumper and triangular housings for the headlights, similar to Hector Plus.

Like before, the facelift continues to have slim Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) arranged on the upper edge of the grille. MG has started testing the Hector facelift in India and spy pictures hints that it will continue to feature the same alloy wheel design as the model currently on sale.

MG Hector facelift will have a 14-inch touch screen

MG already has Officially released images for the interior of the Hector facelift, reveal that it has received significant changes. The dashboard design has been completely revised and it now features a dual-layer look with horizontal D-shaped air conditioning vents.

What stands out inside, however, is the new 14-inch touchscreen, the largest in its class. It features MG’s next-generation i-Smart technology and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the facelift Hector also has new graphics for the all-digital instrument cluster.

MG is also likely to introduce Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as blind spot detection, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Powertrain details, MG Hector facelift launches and rivals

MG is unlikely to make any changes to the SUV’s powertrain, which means it will likely continue with two 143hp 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines – one there’s mild hybrid technology – and a 170-hp 2.0-liter diesel.

MG will probably roll out the Hector upgrade early next year and it will continue to compete with Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Harrier.
