Maserati launched a special MC Edition (it’s “Maserati Corse”) for Ghibli and Quattroporte shop and Levante SUV car. The specification celebrates the company’s racing heritage and will be available to order on all three cars later this month.
Pricing has yet to be confirmed, although Maserati has announced that their MC Edition will only be offered with its V8 cars in Europe. That would put the specs at the top of each model’s lineup.
The MC Edition vehicle receives a host of styling tweaks, including piano black trim, blue brake calipers, and exclusive badging for the rear wing and B-pillar. There’s also a choice of two grades. The model-specific finishes, called Giallo Corse and Blue Vittoria, were chosen to honor the colors of Modena, Maserati’s hometown.
Buyers also get some new gloss black alloy wheels, which vary slightly by model. The Levante The MC version comes in 22-inch alloys, while Ghibli and Quattroporte get the 21 inch alloy. Exterior tweaks are completed by an electric sunroof.
Inside, every MC Edition model gets blue carbon fiber trim, a premium Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system, and a unique badge for the center console. Buyers also get a full range of driver assistance technologies
The upholstery is also exclusive to the MC Edition – and it’s a bit unusual. The seats are decorated in heavy metal with a blend of black leather and denim, while the panels are stitched together with gold and blue thread. The headrests are also embroidered with the company’s MC Edition badge.
All three cars will be equipped MaseratiThe twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 in the brand’s flagship Trofeo spec. That means all three models will have 572hp and 730Nm of torque. It has enough power to propel the fastest car in the range, the Ghibli, from 0–62mph in 4.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 203mph.
