New long-wheelbase Bentley Bentayga may join range on May 10
Bentley have revealed a shadow teaser image and announced that they will be launching a new car on May 10, possibly based on the British brand Bentayga Luxury SUVs.
The company says the new model will “sit in lavish comfort at the pinnacle of its range” and will be the fifth model to join its lineup.
The brand is considered Continental GT and Continental GT Convertible become separate models, so along with the Bentayga and Hot steam is flyingThe new model can replace the company’s old model Mulsanne as an ultra-luxury flagship, filling a void in a range that has been vacant for a while.
Possibly due to the popularity of the Bentayga SUV, which accounts for 40% of the luxury brand’s sales in 2021, the new vehicle could be based on this vehicle.
The teaser image doesn’t show much, but in the dim purple light we can make out some interior design elements. The diamond-shaped spotlights are reminiscent of the tufted stitching that Bentley interiors often feature.
There have been reports that the new long-wheelbase Bentayga will join the range in 2022 and the ‘Long-Awaited’ text on the teaser image could be a subtle hint of a stretched Bentayga.
As for powertrains, Bentley’s current range of models offers a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12, a 4.0-liter V8 and a 3.0-liter turbocharged hybrid, and it’s possible the new car will be available with all three options.
Bentley claims its new car will have “many possibilities beyond anything previously offered”, saying that “the company’s designers, engineers and craftsmen have taken it to the next level”. new to combine luxury, technology and performance in a way only Bentley can deliver.” With this, the price of the new car can start from over £200,000.
