New Law in California: Social Media Reacts


Several new California laws have recently gone into effect, and social media is reacting to them.

One bill making the rounds on social media would require hospitality and tourism businesses to include all additional fees in their advertised prices. There’s also a bill that would prohibit landlords from charging more than one month’s rent in security deposits. Previously, tenants could charge three times the rent.
