Land Rover celebrates its 75th anniversary next year, but it starts the celebration early with Defender The 75th limited edition. It’s available to order now, with prices ranging from £85,995 for the 90 and £89,995 for the larger 110 model.
Helping the 75th limited edition stand out from the standard Defender HSE on which it is based is the Grasmere Green paint job, found outside and inside. There are also similarly finished 20-inch alloy wheels, which come with off-road tires. On the outside there’s a unique 75-year-old graphic, the bumpers are painted in Ceres silver and privacy glass is standard.
The interior has also been slightly changed. There’s an engraved ’75 Years’ detail on the dashboard, the seats are decorated in ‘Resist Ebony’ (in other words black) and the center console uses Land Rover’s ‘Robustec’ fabric.
As the 75th Limited Edition is based on HSE trim, the standard kit includes a 3D camera, air suspension, Land Rover Terrain Response technology, Meridian sound system, LED headlights, infotainment screen Pivi Pro 11.4 inch, head-up display and wireless smartphone charger.
There is also a folding fabric canopy or optional panoramic sliding glass with roof rails. At the front, there are 14-way heated seats and a heated steering wheel, while tri-zone climate control is also included.
Under the bonnet, the Defender 75th Limited Edition is available with the P400e plug-in hybrid powertrain (for 110 models only) with 398hp and 640Nm. A 296hp D300 diesel mild hybrid is also available in both body styles, while every model comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
In addition to the car itself, buyers will receive a unique watch, backpack and t-shirt with Defender 75th Limited Edition branding.
