New generation Bajaj Pulsar P150 launches for 1.16 lakh, will compete with Apache RTR 160 2V
Bajaj Auto has finally launched the much-awaited new generation Pulsar 150 in the Indian market. It’s called Pulsar P150 and starts at $1.16 lakh (old gallery) for the single variant while the double disc variant is priced at $1.19 lakh (old gallery). The P150 is the third Pulsar based on the new generation platform, after the N250, F250 and N160.
The Bajaj Pulsar P150 was launched in Kolkata today and will be rolling out to other cities in the coming weeks. It will come in 5 colors for both variants – Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, Ebony Black Red, Ebony Blue Blue and Ebony Black White.

The single disc variants come with single seats while the double disc variants have a split seat setup. The single disc variants have a more upright stance while the twin disc setup has a sportier steering triangle. Pulsar P150 has a completely new design, looks sharper, sportier and also lighter. The muscular fuel tank design flows naturally with the saddle, creating a seamless look.

The seat height of the motorcycle is 790 mm, suitable for most people. The exhaust pipe is the same type as Bajaj is using on the N160. Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Moreover, Bajaj was able to lose 10 kg of weight.
Pulsar P150 is equipped with a new 149.68 cc engine. It delivers 14.5 PS of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Bajaj says the engine is tuned to deliver 90% of the torque in the usable rev range. The manufacturer has also improved the engine’s NVH level. The motorcycle’s power-to-weight ratio has improved by 11% thanks to the reduced weight.
In terms of features, there’s an Infinity Display with Digital Indicator, Clock, Fuel Economy and DTE (Distance To Empty), LED taillights and LED projector headlights. There is also a USB socket for charging mobile devices. The motorcycle comes with single channel ABS as standard.
