New game update Dying Light 2 Plus now out, patch details

Techland has revealed the patch notes for the upcoming New Game Plus mode patch for Dying Light 2, and it brings some big changes to the game, even beyond the new mode.

Revealed earlier this week, the new patch now available in Dying Light 2 and New Game Plus will be available to any and all players who have completed the zombie parkour title’s base campaign. As for what to expect in this new mode, there will be new inhibitors to find, new Platinum targets for parkour challenges, and more.

“Once finished, the game can be played again, only this time with modified game parameters to encourage second play by implementing a unique system and experience,” written patch notes. “Players can now go through the story with revived mechanics. These include new enemy behaviors, more difficult encounters, new world objects – specifically newly added inhibitors – and many other changes that will dramatically change the style of the game. gameplay and allows the player to develop their character further. “

The following are only available in New Game Plus:

  • 30 new inhibitors
  • New Platinum goal for parkour challenges
  • Enemy distribution updated (i.e. Volatiles and Banshees spawn during the night, wider enemy counts in encounters)
  • Added a new level of legendary weapon
  • Gold encounters have been added
  • Enemy difficulty divided by player’s level

As for the rest of the patch, it comes with lots of co-op updates and fixes, as well as a new type of mutated enemy that can be encountered by starting the quest “Something Big Has Been Here” in the game. There are tons of other updates, fixes, and improvements to Dying Light 2’s gameplay, missions, UI, and more.

  • Improved various animations in co-op – crouch, throw, use bow and more
  • Fixed audio duplication in co-op
  • Fixed rare cases of unresponsive quest radio dialogs in co-op, causing story blocks
  • Fixed the incorrect display of icons on the map after the co-op party
  • Fixed “call for help” when a player was summoned during a rally in co-op
  • Fixed a black screen in certain situations that could cause a process blocker during co-op
  • Fixed unnecessary “skill required” text in challenge description during co-op session
  • Updated tutorial window time to 30 seconds in co-op sessions
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to trigger multiple story missions

Gameplay update

  • Bow-wielding enemies are less annoying – damage dealt
  • Completing achievements are rewarded exactly upon completion. This also works for achievements made before the update

  • Fixed the ability to quickly move between map regions after completing different quests
  • Fixed a random AI bug about human-to-human encounters
