The current third-generation Kuga has only been on sale since the beginning of 2020, but even in that short time competitors like Volkswagen Tiguan and SEAT Ateca has benefited from upgrades, which lessen the appeal of the Kuga gallery. Up front are some design cues from the new Focus, with slimmer headlights and a new grille featuring the Ford badging, which has been moved away from the nose. At the rear, we get a new taillight design, but the twin tailpipes and rear spoiler are largely unchanged.
In terms of powertrains, it’s likely the new car will keep the current lineup, meaning a 148hp 1.5-liter petrol option with a six-speed manual transmission, a 222hp plug-in hybrid or a mild hybrid. 187 hp – later received a CVT automatic transmission. Ford boxed diesel engines from the Kuga line late last year.

There’s no word on pricing yet, but the current model starts at just under £28,000, so expect the same for the upgraded Kuga.
