Bungie reveals how back to 2020 that Savathûn, Oryx’s sister in Destiny’s The Taken King, will get her own expansion and last year, the studio revealed that our guardians will take on The Witch Queen in February.
With February 22 approaching, Bungie’s marketing for the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion has ramped up and today the company released a intro video all about the new discovery area in it: Savathûn’s Throne World. As seen in other trailers, Savathûn is a huge fan of anything dark green and her world of thrones is no different. However, all is not so as Savathûn considers this area to be essentially an extension of her mind.
“Tell me, guest of honor,” Savathûn says in the trailer. “Why do you want to escape? This world of thrones is indistinguishable from my mind, Guardian. Every step, every bullet fired, I hold them and count them all. It’s not too late to turn back.”
That’s not a harbinger of anything…
As you can see in the trailer above, Throne World looks pretty unique compared to other places we’ve visited in Destiny 2, with a different sense of horror for all. It also looks quite diverse, which is interesting. The trailer’s description mentions Savathûn’s “glitter palace” and “boney roots in the swamp”, so it looks like there’s a journey ahead of us before actually reaching the Throne. by Savathan.
