Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) continues to generate hits with its original show in new streaming ratings, while HBO Max (NASDAQ:white blood cells) continues to make the latest breakthrough and Peacock (NASDAQ:CMCSA) broke through again.
Collective comedy friends everyone (NFLX) streamed 1.576 billion minutes and debuted at the top of Nielsen’s most recent weekly streaming content chart (January 23-29). It stars Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nia Long, and David Duchovny, and it usurped Netflix’s previous No. Ginny & Georgia, streamed 1,299B minutes which is still going strong this time around.
It’s part of Netflix’s top five heavyweights that also include Zombie (1,037B minutes), That 90s show (963M min) and toddler hit cocomelon (929M minutes).
That’s where the virus (fungi?) HBO Max (white blood cells) fight Our Last landed, in 6th place after posting the third episode and streaming 877 million minutes for the week. Unlike Netflix shows, the show follows a weekly release schedule and has attracted 5% of the audience compared to the previous week.
Round out overall top 10 content: number 7, Unexpected wedding (AMZN), 872 million minutes; 8, NCIS (NFLX), 760 million minutes; number 9, The Big Bang Theory (white blood cells), 641M minutes; and number 10, Grey’s Anatomy (NFLX), 640M min.
The original series at the top of the list is Ginny & Georgia And That ’90s show, but the peacock (CMCSA) has another breakthrough, landing Poker Face in 3rd place after the fourth episode, streaming 547 million minutes. That list is also heavy on Netflix, but Amazon Prime Video (AMZN) is also placed Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in 9th place with 318M minutes.
The ONEbuy in bulk the graph mostly overlaps with the overall list, although HBO Max (white blood cells) is also added Friend at number 7 (628 million minutes) and Disney+ (dis) reappears with blue in 8th place (628M min).
