Netflix launches new ‘Moments’ feature to let fans capture and share iconic scenes like never before
Netflix has unveiled a new feature called “Moments,” which allows users to capture and share their favorite scenes from movies and shows. This update marks a change from the previous policy, in which users could not take screenshots, as Netflix previously blocked the feature to prevent unauthorized sharing of content.
How Moments works on Netflix
Now iOS users around the world can use Moments to save specific moments from the content they’re watching. The feature is expected to roll out to Android devices in the coming weeks. After the user selects a scene to save, the Netflix app automatically creates a custom screenshot that includes details such as the show name, episode, and exact timestamp of the scene.

The new feature allows users to review their saved moments whenever they want. Additionally, users can share these screenshots on social media platforms, helping fans interact with their favorite scenes in new ways. To share a moment, users can do so immediately after saving or select the moment later from the “My Netflix” tab to share across various platforms.
To activate Moments while watching a show, users simply tap the screen and the option to save a moment will appear in the player interface. Netflix has begun rolling out the feature to iOS users globally, and an Android release is expected in the near future.

The campaign features celebrities like Cardi B, Simone Biles and Giancarlo Esposito, who reflect on moments that resonated with audiences. The effort highlights Netflix’s push to foster deeper connections with viewers by focusing on scenes that leave a lasting impression.
