Nelly Furtado flaunts her curvaceous figure in a cropped dress at the Toronto Film Festival’s Lido TV premiere

Nelly Furtado made a surprise appearance at the premiere of her new variety show Lido TV in Toronto on Sunday during the city’s 49th Annual Film Festival.

The Say It Right hitmaker put on a chic look in a black dress with cutout details as she hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new film.

And it looks like the 43-year-old could move into television as she stars in an episode of the new show – created by comedian Lido Pimienta.

Nelly’s dress features a sleeveless, one shoulder design with cut-outs at the bodice and bust, and a side slit.

Her chestnut curls were styled in silky curls as they fell freely from the side – as the singer used a dewy makeup palette with a soft pink lip.

The Canadian-Canadian man enhanced the accessory with a pair of drop-down earrings, along with a stack of gold bracelets on each arm and a single chain necklace.

And the star was also joined by Lido herself, as friends giggled on the red carpet while celebrating the night’s premiere.

Nelly starred in one of the show’s first three episodes, starring in a scene where they sang an impromptu metal rendition of the far-right male feminist manifesto over dinner.

The sow features Lido as host, along with puppet co-hosts Sunnyflower, Tomato, Tomato and Sol – as it blends a combination of animated spots, documentary segments and comedy sketches.

The Toronto Film Festival begins September 8 and will last for ten days until September 18.

Welcoming a host of famous faces, the festival celebrates both international and Canadian cinema with a host of A-list guests.

And the arrival of the festival comes after Nelly, who has had a rough couple of years, returned to performing.

The singer shot to fame in 2000 with her trip-inspired debut album Whoa – before rising to stardom with songs like her 2006 hit Say It Right.

It looks like she’ll be back, as she’s set to perform on stage for the first time in five years at the Beyond The Valley Festival in Australia.

Lido TV is organized and created by musician Lido Pimienta and features many sketches, comedy clips, documentary segments, and animated scenes.
