Need For Speed Unbound officially launched, will be available on PC in December
Finally, the next Need For Speed has been revealed, and its new graphic direction is what I can only describe as pulling an ‘Into The Spiderverse’. You then, Need unfettered speed looks pretty sleek, with tiny plumes of dust rising from the wheels of your speeding car. I was able to add a substantial car, thanks to the support of rapper and joint guy A$AP Rocky. Check out his motivations in the trailer below.
Unbound’s single-player campaign has you winning the “ultimate street race” to reclaim a priceless car just a stone’s throw from your family’s garage in the beautiful city of Lakeshore. I say scenic, it looks like a bunch of piers, tunnels and polluted streets from the trailer. You’ll have to ride around Lakeshore in your donkey cart, bet on races and make your way up the street racing ladder.
You can even race against A$AP Rocky, whose name is on the soundtrack. His song is called “Shittin’ Me”. No, I don’t, it really is. If you’re not a fan, there’s the option to customize your car to distract yourself from the traffic, including Driving Effects. I guess these are new cartoon-style visual subtleties. EA and Criterion promise free updates but it’s all a bit lackluster at the moment. I’ll let you know when they come out once Unbound is released.
Of today reveal the plan Need For Speed Unbound was somewhat garbled in the beginning shop page revealed on Japanese retail site Neowing, which leaked the game’s title and release date yesterday, along with some screenshots. Neowing took the page down, but the catalytic converter was already out of the bonnet at the time. Game details have started to appear since Insider Gaming report A$AP Rocky joined in late September, and these were confirmed by today’s trailer.
I re-watched the trailer a few times just to chuckle at the Roadrunner trails behind cars. I think I’m ready for this? We finally have a game that matches the snappy RGB nature of today’s PC hardware, for one thing.
Need For Speed Releases are not bound by date Steamthe Epic game store and EA Apps for Windows on December 2. It will set you back £60/$70/€70.
