NCAA extends Louie Sangalang, Brent Paraiso suspensions to 2 games

MANILA, Philippines — Letran received another shot after losing to San Beda on Friday in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Knights key players Louie Sangalang and Brent Paraiso will play another game after their league elevates supposed to pause a game there must be two games, after further consideration by NCAA commissioner Tonichi Pujante.

Judging by league officials, Sangalang cursed and gave an official his middle finger as he was thrown out in their recent win over Mapua, 67-62.

On the other hand, Paraiso’s suspension was increased due to comment on the celebration.

“I don’t know which planet that call came from. Even in the NBA or the PBA, you can’t see someone being called up for something that late,” he said in Filipino on Tuesday.

Both players were eliminated in Tuesday’s match. Paraiso was sent off for “violent behavior” against Adrian Nocum while Sangalang was injured for two technical fouls.

People without people Knights on Friday lost to the Red Lions, 76-68and will remain understaffed in their clash with Lyceum, who currently hold the top seed with a 4-1 record, on Sunday.
