NCAA: After reaching semis, Lyceum’s Enoch Valdez eyes finals return

MANILA, Philippines — The Lyceum appeared in the Finals for the first time since 2019 thanks in large part to the efforts of Enoch Valdez.
Valdez burst with 30 points with 11 rebounds and three steals to push the Pirates past the San Sebastian Stags, 73-65.
The 6-foot-2 swinger also plays an important role in Lyceum’s 81-80 victory over San Beda on Wednesday with eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
“In my mind, what I want is to reach the Finals. However, my goal is to get back to the final because before, when we went to CJ (Perez), I didn’t get much use,” said Valdez, who was named Collegiate Press Player of the Week. Corps said.
The former Letran player beat San Sebastian’s Rhinwil Yambing, Perpetual Help’s John Abis, Lyceum’s Renzo Navarro, Letran’s King Caralipio and San Beda’s James Kwekuteye to the honor.
