NBA: Warriors’ Steph Curry ‘optimistic’ he’ll be ready for NBA playoff opener

Curry attended the Warriors’ first playoff practice Wednesday, when he said he felt “pretty good” after the drills, shooting and active skills.

Curry finished the regular season with an average of 25.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds in 64 games.

“We know what he brings, what he does on the pitch and how he helps and how he makes it difficult for other teams and easier for us,” Payton said. “So we just stick to the game plan.”

The Warriors won 1-6 without Curry from March 20 to 30, but closed the season on a five-game winning streak to claim a third seed in the Western Conference.
