Tyrese Maxey scored 32 points and six assists and the Philadelphia 76ers withstood the absences of Joel Embiid and James Harden to a 129-127 win over hosts the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

Tobias Harris had 17 points and six assists before fouling Philadelphia, who finished the trip 5-0 and won for the seventh time in the past eight games. Montrezl Harrell had 17 points and 7 rebounds and Georges Niang also scored 17 points for the 76ers.

Embiid and Harden are both sidelined with leg injuries but that didn’t stop Philadelphia from beating Sacramento for the ninth time in a row.

De’Aaron Fox had 31 points and nine assists for the Kings, whose six-game winning streak was halted. Harrison Barnes made six 3-pointers and scored 27 and Kevin Huerter added 20.

Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis scored 16 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds, only missing his second straight double. Keegan Murray added 13 points.

Maxey steered with 44.9 seconds left to give the 76ers a 125-121 lead. Fox responded with a short jump with 22.8 seconds left to take home the Kings in round two.

Maxey took two free throws with 17.8 seconds left before Murray hit a 3-point corner to drag Sacramento in 127-126 with 8.4 seconds of play.

Melton made two free throws with 4.3 seconds left to give Philadelphia a three-point lead.

Barnes was fouled when he fired 3 pointers with 2.9 seconds left and missed the first one. He took the second and then purposely missed the third and Sabonis’ attempt missed it.

Shake Milton added 15 points and De’Anthony Melton had 14 points and 7 rebounds for the 76ers, who hit 52.7% of their tries and were 12th/28th from behind the arc.

Sacramento shot 54.8% away and made 13 of 33 shots from three points.

The 76ers led to 21 in the first half but Harrell’s three-point play allowed Philadelphia an 86 lead with 6:59 remaining in the third.

Maxey’s dunk in the remaining 2:59 minutes gave Philadelphia the lead for the first time with a score of 95-94.

The 76ers took a 102-96 lead into the final inning and scored the first five points for an 11-point advantage before the Kings regrouped.

Barnes hit five 3-pointers in the first half and scored 17 to give the Kings a 74-64 lead at halftime.

Huerter connected from a 3-point range to make it 71-50 with 3:10 remaining before Philadelphia finished the first half 14-3.
