NBA: Pascal Siakam powers Raptors to victory over Lakers

Pascal Siakam scored 25 points and won 10 rebounds and the home team Toronto Raptors beat the languishing Los Angeles Lakers 126-113 on Wednesday night.
The Lakers are missing two stars LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (sick). Patrick Beverley (knee) also did not play.
Fred VanVleet also had 25 points and seven assists for the Raptors, who finished 2-1 at home.
OG Anunoby scored 23 points for Toronto. Gary Trent Jr. won 18 points, Chris Boucher has 16 and Scottie Barnes has 13 points and 17 career bounces.
Dennis Schroder scored 18 points for the Lakers. Russell Westbrook had 16 points and nine rebounds, Thomas Bryant had 16, Kendrick Nunn had 15, Lonnie Walker IV had 12 and Austin Reaves had 10.
The Lakers are drawing 2-2 from four games in a six-game run that started with two wins.

Despite being 28-27 behind in the third quarter, Toronto took a 22-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Anunoby’s run extended the lead to 27 points with 10:39 to play in the fourth half.
Lakers forward Juan Toscano-Anderson left the game in the fourth half with an obvious leg injury. He had three points.
Toronto scored the first 11 points of the game and led 39-31 after the first inning.
The Lakers went within five points as Schroder took two free throws 7:11 to play in the second half. Toronto restored an 11-point lead thanks to VanVleet’s 3-pointer 4:17 in the first half.
The 14-foot-tall VanVleet completed Toronto’s 16-0 comeback, taking a 21-point lead. The lead went up to 26 before Walker hit three points to end the first half 70-47 for Toronto.
The lead was shortened to 15 when Schroder took two 4:49 free throws to take in the third half. The lead was cut to 13 but VanVleet’s 11-foot shot with 1:05 remaining in the third half made it 24 points. Walker’s squad finished scoring in the third half with Toronto leading 97-75.
Precious Achiuwa (ankle), Juancho Hernangomez (ankle) and Otto Porter Jr., (toe) came out for Toronto.
