Domantas Sabonis scored a brace three times and the Sacramento Kings capitalized on Ja Morant’s absence to overtake the Memphis Grizzlies to a 133-100 win on Monday night.

In a match against ace Jaren Jackson Jr., Sabonis scored 14 points to complement his highest in-game record in bounces (10) and assists (11). His sixth double of the season and second in three outings helped the Kings win their seventh of their last eight.

After three games – including consecutive losses – decided by a total of four points in the previous five days, the Grizzlies decided to give Morant a night off, citing a sore left ankle.

Veteran Steven Adams was also benched due to a pain in his right knee, leaving the Grizzlies down as they tried to end a two-game losing streak.

Despite scoring 47 points in the first half, the visitors still led 103-96 with 9:59. Sabonis then had two of the Kings’ four pitches in a 16-point game that opened the game 119-96.

Harrison Barnes and Trey Lyles added long-range laps to the run, pushing Sacramento’s 3-point total to 22 in 40 attempts. Memphis made only 12 of the 36 long shots.

Lyles hit six 3-pointers to make up the majority of his 24, and Barnes scored six for all but two of his 20 as the Kings saved the series 2-2. season match.

Keegan Murray had 20 points and 9 rebounds while De’Aaron Fox finished with 17 points and Monk 13 for Sacramento, which won 7-3 in the 8/10 at home.

No need to deal with Morant, Fox also has time to make 10 assists and 4 steals.

Desmond Bane overtook Memphis with 21 points, while Jackson got 19. Teammates Dillon Brooks (13), Tyus Jones (12) and Xavier Tillman (10) also scored twice as much for the Grizzlies, whose three-game losing streak came after an 11-game winning streak.

Jones had the highest eight assists for his teammate while also surpassing Tillman to claim the team’s highest recovery title with six assists.
