NBA: Jalen Green, Rockets remain hot at home vs banged-up Suns

Jalen Green scored a top 26 in the game while Kevin Porter Jr. scored 18 points as the Houston Rockets extended their home win streak to five games with a 111-97 win over the short-handled Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Green and Porter combined for 12 rebounds and 8 assists while Alperen Sengun scored a brace with 10 points and 16 rebounds for the Rockets, the team that took a one-point win in Phoenix 11 days ago with the win. way ahead of a missing Suns Team starting Cam Johnson (knee) and Devin Booker (hamstring).

The Suns also lost Deandre Ayton (ankle) at half-time and reserve defender Cameron Payne (foot) after he scored nine points in the first half.

The Suns, who scored 32% on their way to a fifth straight loss, were led by Chris Paul (16 points and 7 assists). Mikal Bridges led Phoenix by 18 points but missed 20 of 24 shots.

KJ Martin and Porter drilled three straight points midway through the third quarter to give Houston the biggest lead, 78-55. The Suns have repeatedly won within 11 points in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the difficulty when too many players had to sit out.

Ayton (2 of 10) and Bridges (1 of 12) shot a 3 to 22 composite before halftime. Excluding Payne, who made 3 of 4 3-pointers, the Suns were 8 of 46 points off the floor in the first half.
